I don't know how I feel about Whitney Houston's version.
Yes, her voice was amazing, and she hit some incredible notes, but most of those incredible notes aren't even in the original version of the song.
I'm all for making a song your own, but I don't like it when people mess around with the National Anthem. It's okay to change a few notes here and there, but I think Whitney over-did it.
To be honest, Whitney's is the only performance that I remember. I guess I wasn't paying much attention to the other games. So out of the one's that I've heard....sure I guess Whitney's is the best.
But I would argue that Carrie Underwood sings it better, she keeps it how it is supposed to be sung, and her voice is also amazing.

I think it's Whitney for a couple of reasons:
1) She has an amazing voice and seemed to put it all into the song.
2) She sang it during a time at which patriotism was very high. Her version actually hit the top 20 on the Billboard charts.
