First solve for one machine: If it takes 10 days for 6 machines then how long will it take for 1 machine? Answer: 60 days (1 machine will take 6 times longer than 6 machines. 6 x 10 = 60).

Next solve for the number of machines you have: If it takes 60 days for 1 machine then how many machines will it take to complete the task in 15 days? Answer: 4 machines (15 days is one fourth of 60 days so you need 4 times the number of machines. 4 x 1 = 4).

Here's a hint: If it takes 6 machines 10 days to do the task, how many days would it take just 1 machine to do it?

PS - The answer is not 9 machines. Why would it take 9 machines longer to complete the task than 6 machines?
