Question: I had a conversation w/ my relatives and they were saying that all pedophiles are white men because that’s what they show on the news. One if four black American girls are molested or sexually abused by the age of 18. The average black girl does not have white men in her circle to do such and I said this and I told them that most of the pedophiles in our community are black men the only reason they don’t get caught is that the adults will blame the child and/or cover for the man who is abusing the girl. If the black community actually reported most of the sexual abuse that goes on in our communities do you think that would tip the racial scales as far as pedophiles in the news?

Hot Black Babe: No my question does not sound like a stereotype, it was a conversation I was having w/ my family. No most sexual predators are not from consentual sex that is such a small portion its ridiculous. Yet and still 1 out of 4 black american girls are sexually abused by age 18 yet most of the pedaphiles you see on the news are white. It IS true that many black families blame thier daughters or try and cover up what happens to them because they feel that their are enough"brotha's" in the prison system. So my question was that if black ppl reported the abuse that young black girls receive would that tip the scales racially of the avg. pedophile.

Interesting question.
Sad that people are so quick to buy into the media's message that pedophiles are white men. This is one thing about people that really slaps the crap out of me- The general public complains so much about bias in the media while there is so much of it among US.
I really don't think media reporting of pedophiles would change unless ratings were to change. For whatever reason, the public apparently loves the idea that pedophiles are white- just as they love the idea that, for example, drug dealers are black. I reckon that most people have certain stereotypes fixated in their minds and won't allow themselves to believe differently. And the media is a mirror of these stereotypes. It's the same with statistics, in my opinion- For the most part, they reflect what's generally accepted by society.
If only the attitudes about "race" would change- Then it wouldn't matter which "races" do what. We would be able to bypass all the nonsense and address actual problems.

most of your question sounds like a stereotype to me...there are a lot of pervs in all societies and racial settings...a lot of little girls are molested by someone blood-related to them...whether they are white or black. because of that, they are reluctant to report the abuse. a lot of pervs are labeled such because of consentual sex with someone who is under age...like a 20 yr old guy and a 15 yr old girl....sometimes that isn't reported also, because it's a consentual relationship and there's no parental support or parental awareness.
i don't think it's fair for you to say that black adults, as a rule, blame the child and/or cover for the man who is abusing the child...that happens in families of other races too!
if ALL communities reported ALL of the sexual abuse (uincluding rape of children and women, molestation of children and the elderly, and other perverse crimes) that goes in their respective communities, this world would be a better place.
and that's regardless of the color issue in statistics of these crimes.

Who cares what the News thinks.
The reality is that it happens - black or white.
I don't even live in the States, but from what I've seen there seems to be more sexual 'permissiveness' [you might call it] among the blacks than whites.
But I don't really know
I think we should all forget about black and white and all that segregational stuff, and just learn to love each other and be good, appreciate the differences that often attract and have a wonderful time together.

there are so many stereotypes about things. the news and media want to portray a certain image. i mean all black are not loud and obnoxious but yet that is the only image we seem to see of ourselves. just like all white men are not predators, but the only predators they really show are white men, so it makes us believe only white men are, when essentially they are not!

I am not familiar with the trend that you state. (that all pedophiles are white). There were many non-whites caught in NBC's "To Catch a Predator" series. People that do tha sort of thing have terrible mental problems; I'm sure it doesn't matter what color they are.
