As a black person I support hate crime statues for an attack on someone due to their race, gender, or religion. I think the law should be applied equally to all of their race, religion, or gender. Whites have told me that hate crime laws are discrimination against them because blacks who kill whites are not treated as hate crimes. Heres noise for you guys most killing of blacks against whites have been for robbery, crime of passion, physical confrontation. Very few blacks kill whites because they are white as compared to other way around. Just look at lynching and other forms of justice the most likely victim were black.

Think about this: How can any crime be categorized as anything but a hate crime. Where I come from, people don't commit crimes against others out of love.

If all black on white crime can be lumped into robbery, passion or physical confrontation then why can't we just lump all white on black crime into the same category? You lynching argument is a bit dated. Perhaps 50 years ago but not so much today.

Crime is a problem, I don't see why we spend time trying to categorize it. There is definately something wrong with the concept of adding more punishment to a crime by calling it a hate crime. If you intentionally harm or kill another human being, of course its a hate crime, how could it not be.. race is irrelevant.

It is political thought Marxism to make any crime above and beyond what it already is, a crime of hate. Who or what mental midgets coined hate crime? How utterly ridiculous that term is, and those that endorse it. And what, does the High Octane Murderer of a hate crime get more lawyers or less lawyers than the one that commits, what, Regular Octaned murder?

Murder is murder people!

Their have been plenty of black on white murders, but most likely even moreso white on black lynchings. I myself knew of a man named Peterson out of Gary, Indiana that intentionally killed the white devils...I am not certain but it seemed it was hatred of race and religious practices such as that in m'med's and ollie's salami, salami, bologney 6th century limited intellectual capabilities. Kill the Jews and Americans first, type of hype and mental dymentia.

Crime is crime, I will not place one atrocity in a higher bracket than another. I will not let any mentally challenged man, woman, or child of any race, ethnicity, or religion strip me of my right of opinion and thought and speech neither.

When was the last time that a black was lynched?

Yes, I agree that hate crimes are not punishable when the crime is black on white so no, the statement is truth - politically correct or not!

It is a hate crime if a white robs a black man. It is hateful speech if a white man calls a black person a n*****, but not if a black person calls a white person a "cracker". Prejudice runs both ways, why is it that blacks refuse to recognize this?

It's a stupid statement by a white individual, I guess. If a crime against them was motivated by them being white, it would be treated as a hate crime, too.

(It's really quite sad that people weren't raised right so they have to be told how to treat others.)

I think we should do away with all hate crimes and just hand out the max for any crime depending on circumstance, the PC police have this country turned on its head

I totally agree with Tip.

Why not just have laws that make certain things a crime no matter what race, sex or religion you are.

This PC stuff is a lot of nonsense.
