I was driving my 1989 mustang Lx. and the coil * i think it's the thing that has one wire going to the distorder for the spark plug wires * anyways the coil wires melted on my headers, the car shut off and thats the only thing i can see that may of went bad. if that would of blown somthing what and where would it be ? help please . i need to get driving again

yupp replace the coil wires and check the fuses that shouldnt have happened if it was hooked up to a fuse or the right fuse

Replace the coil wires and you should be off to the races also consider getting a clip or some guard so your wires stay off of the headers..

First of all, replace the wires and run them around the headers. Start by checking fuses. The fuse box under the hood, check them all, and the one on/under your dash. Other than that, i dont think it should have hurt must, but you should check the distrubuter for any damage, just to be safe.
