Helly Kay. I wish I could share that, but both my grandparents died before I was born. So, my memories are of those spent with my grandchildren. Sorry to have been gone for so long from this site.
Made a major move.

The smells of the wonderful food. Grandma would cook for days. Fresh vegetables from Grandpas garden. Dinner would take several hours to eat. It wasn't a meal, it was an event. I miss them.

My grandmother was Hungarian and we'd have enough food for a week! They were some of the best holidays because we all dressed up and she had a giant basement that was like a second house. It was completely decorated, fireplace and all. Life was so good then.

The swarms of family gathering there. I have a huge family on my mom's side, so it's wonderful to be with all of them on Christmas.
