Why is this section in particular overrun by all these trolls? I've answered questions in other sections and they dont have half the probelms the cultures section does.
I feel bad for whomevers pictures some of these trolls use in their avatars-its always some unsuspecting Black person.
Yahoo tries to cut down on this but all the troll do is open up another account and keep doing the same thing.

No I'm not pulling the race card and to be exact I have never played the race card. There's nothing wrong with asking a valid question. Looks like some people can misunderstand a simple question.

I just found out what a troll is today and I agree with you. I also find a lot of them in the culture section. I joined this site back in September and posted a question of why racism still exists. Trolls feed on negative feedback, that is what gives them the energy to ask more inflamatory questions. I agree with Andrew also that their IP addy's need to be blocked. This site was fun before all the trolls came stomping through. Kudos to you for asking this question!

Because trolls like to start controversy, and this is a section that sparks particularly strong emotions. There are a lot of trolls in the pregnancy and parenting section too because people are always emotional when discussing their children and trolls feed on that.

In my opinion it all boils down to education, and upbringing. Ignorance runs rampant in the world and all because of individuals cultures. Just because I do not like the same thing that you like means that something has to be wrong with me!!! Why is this so?? Cant we just both like two separate things and coexist peacefully?!?!?! I say start educating our CHILDREN not to judge one another!!! Because for some reason most adults have become lost causes.

i have noticed that this section and the Religion & Spirituality sections are overrun by trolls. You can't state your opinion freely.

this section is made for trolls. you dont talk about race in the section on cancer.

What Yahoo! needs to do is start getting serious and putting temporary bans on these people's IP addresses. It works on online games, so why wouldn't it work here. It would also cut down on people cheating with multiple accounts.
