Pleasure is momentary- fleeting, but happiness describes a more lasting condition. Happiness doesn't come from having a fleeting pleasure- something that feels good but doesn't last. Happiness comes from a way of dealing with the world and with yourself that lets you enjoy life even though there are some unpleasant moments. You won't always be happy, but you will generally enjoy life.
You are doing the right thing by asking questions in your quest for happiness. I hope you find it.

It depends on your definition of moment and permanent. I don't know though if being happily married for almost 39 years is a moment. And happiness is what you make out of life.

Given that happiness is the degree to which one's subconscious mind is in agreement with one's conscious mind, I would say that it is a permanent situation; which, however, can be changed via certain methods.

do you know I can't answer this - i suppose happiness is a state of mind - and we all have times when we can say we're happy, other times when we are sad etc., i had a poem once about happiness - wish i could find it now - maybe i'll do a search sometime! (thank you for reminding me)
