As your other answer states, a little less than 1000 kgs. However, out of that figure comes the weight of the driver, fuel, any passenger and tools and/or equipment the vehicle may carry. If the vehicle is the larger weight capacity i.e over 3.5 tonne, then you should have a tachograph fitted. If you are a commercial user, then you also need an operators licence AND you must have passed your driving test before, I think it was July in 1997, or have taken a test since that time to enable you to drive a vehicle over 3.5 tonne, deep joy !!!

The Sprinter's Gross-Vehicle Weight (GVW) is signified by the first digit in the numberical version name, so a "208" has a 2.something (probably 2.8) tonne GVW.
The unladen weight (kerb weight) is about 1.5 tonnes, so the available payload is about 1.3 tonnes.
The "08" part signifies it has an engine of around 80bhp.

You should check the GVW on the VIN plate to be certain.
