How would you describe your teenage years ???

Portions were difficult as I had undiagnosed clinical depression. Other parts were quite happy. I had one close friend at a time and there were good times. It was more a combination of both depending on the fortune at the time.
If I had to declare one as the majority, I would go with happy @ 51% of the votes.

My teenage years were ok, except for being confined in a high security state institution called high school. Since so much of my teenage years were spent in that brick building, that was a significant part of my teenage years, so it sort of dominated things.
If you couldn't tell by now, I hated high school. Otherwise, life was ok. My family was fine. My friends were great. But high school was a stress-inducing climate that actually did little to improve my intellect.
Once I got to college, things got much better. The atmosphere is much freer- you are free to skip class like my first roommate did, who flunked out and went back home after the first semester. I survived and studied and had a great time.
High school was something I just survived, literally watching the clock each day until the bell rang. I never really fit into the football and cheerleader atmosphere. Pep rallies were not really my thing. I didn't seem to fit in the high school culture.
Anyway, things got better as soon as I was released from that institution. Overall, I would say the teen years were difficult for me, but there was a big improvement in the late teens (in college).

difficult with a tinge of sadness, my parents were very very strict - while my friends were allowed out til 11:00 i had to be in by 9:00 - also my mother died when i was just 17 so yes i suppose 'difficult' would be the best way to describe my teenage years - i also married when i was 17!

Difficult!

Very difficult... my mother would not allow me to do anything teenagers normally do!
