Little dogs are, in general, harder to housebreak because they have such small innards. They physically cannot "hold it" as long as larger dogs and need more frequent potty breaks. Doesn't help that many people "pad train" and teach the dogs it's OKAY to potty in the home.... How fast a dog housebreaks is usually dependent on the owner - if you use pads, it'll take much longer. If you don't learn quickly how to read potty signs and don't bother to go out frequently, it'll take longer. Crate training is a BIG PLUS. Anyway, what are some other things you do/do not want in a dog? Any kind of coat type you like? Grooming needs a problem? Exercise needs a problem? My neighbor has a Bichon Frise - sweetest thing ever. They had her housebroken in four months or less (they have had dogs in the past, though.) If you don't mind that the dog needs constant grooming and/or professional clipping every few months, might want to look into a Bichon.

Tigers are pretty easy, but don't even try to housebreak a Lion.
What a mess that was.

Yes, probably as easy as housebreaking a kitten.

Just put down one of those kiddie swimming pools, fill it with sand and show the tiger where it is. He will use it. Changing the sand in the swimming pool is the big chore.
