I telephoned the take away to place an order, couldn't get through until I realised I was using the remote control for the TV. Does anyone else have senior moments like this?

Something very similar...When I worked, and did transcription, answered the phone, etc., one day I reached the answer the phone and picked up the earphones instead.

That was a stress moment. I think you probably had a stress moment, and not a senior moment. That was really funny though. I have actually picked up the remote myself for the telephone; so many gadgets now. Can't help but love it though.

I figuered it out. Instead of all those new fangled phone that have text, and internet. and do practically everything. Why not one that is a phone, but it also changed TV channels, is a remote for the stereo, and DVR/VCR, and Tivo, if you have one. Bet that would work. Then I would not mind paying for cell phone, that I hardly use. It could also run on solar power as the batteries would not keep running down.

Ha ha ha! I REALLY know what you are talking about. That remote doesn't call out worth a hoot! Try changing channels with the telephone!! Someone needs to figure out a way to put them together!

I keep reaching for the T.V. remote to work the mouse for my computer. The problem is I've got a lap-top now and the mouse is a built-in on the keyboard.

Recently, suffering from a bad cold, I boiled the kettle intending to make some 'Lemsip'.
the kettle boiled, I opened the packet, then threw that in the bin and poured the water in the cup and stirred.
Doh, I was drinking pure water, the powder was in the bin!!!

Done that and have had many more senior moments now that I'm getting older. If I didn't mark the days off on the calender, I wouldn't know what day it was.

I once made a bowl of ice cream, then put my coffee in the freezer and left the ice cream out. Then once when I went to start the truck I looked all over the house for the keys and my niece came in and asked me what was taking me so long, we were going to be late for the movies. I told her and she said you idiot they are in the ignition where you put them? Doh!!!!

I'm only 35 and whever the phone rings I answer the remote control.

I also tried to text using my digital voice recorder. It ain't age related.

When I leave the house for work, I look at the name and address on the works van so I can remember where to go.
