If you have money, the bank will give you an account...unless you live in a country where a woman can not do anything without the permission of a male relative.

If you're trying to open a CREDIT account and you and your hubby's credit rating is so far down the toilet that the devil can see it...fix your credit.

If the bank refuses to give you an account because your hubby has told them not to...unless there is an overwhelming reason, like gambling/drugs on your part, or the need to be a controlling and isolating peice of abusive crap on his part...they have no right without a legal document, and in the "his case" he'd never manage that...see the bank manager, and advise him that should they refuse to accomodate you, you will be lodging complaints with their ombudsman/main branch, the local and federal government banking watchdogs, and the Human Rights Commission.

If you're not allowed to have a bank account then your credit must be pretty lousy. If your husband has a bank account then you are entiteled to at least half of what is in that account because it is a marital asset. If your credit is bad I suggest you work to get it back into shape otherwise it is going to start effecting your husband's credit.

The only reason I can think of for them not letting you have one is poor credit with that particular institution or having other accounts closed due to nsf's. In either case dealing with cash so you can't overspend may be a good idea for you. If it's not one of those reasons you need to get a lawyer.

Allow? Is her your father? How old are you? Here are the facts of life you obviously have no clue about:

1. There is no Santa
2. All men cheat, almost all women cheat
3. Marriage ruins relationships(moving in is the same)
4. Everyone lies (you even lie to yourself)
5. Life is not fair

Good luck and Happy Holidays. Email me

Who are they and why won't they-if you have $50-$100 you can get a checking or savings account-if you are trying to get a credit card and you have bad credit-you are out of luck unless you want to pay really high interest.
