Not in school. And my name could certainly have been messed with. Nobody ever teased or picked on me at school. They liked me. My family was another matter. Stupe and Fattie were my sisters' favorites. Other kids picked on them. My surviving sister told me I was "Poor Little Cinderella" until she decided to never speak to me again, after she rewrote the history of my life to make herself look better and I objected. What a relief!!! I picked up the nicknames Blondie and American Mama as an adult.

They called me Freckles or Freckle Face.
I have red hair also & am 100% Irish. When I was younger my face was entirely covered with freckles, not to mention my entire body. It bothered me then but as I grew older they faded on my face but I still have tons of them. It's a joke with people now because they are always asking if they could use a magic marker n play connect the freckles. I always tell them it better be a big one. =o}

No. My last name was so on the brink of offensive that I think they figured I had enough to deal with, LOL I mean it begged for ridicule and I never got it.
