1) is speed, wired network is faster that wireless even when compared to draft N at 300mps
2) Security compromised, wireless networks are proned to attacks due the fact that their data can be intercepted easely
3) Reliability, even today there is no question wired network is way more reliable
4) Compatibility due the fact that by today standarts all computers have a J45 port for wired ethernet.

1.) Speed. Because of the way that they transmit, Ethernet (Wired) is much faster then wireless. For common applications, you wont even notice a difference.

2.) Security. Wired is alot more secure. This is a fact. However, Wireless can be made secure enough that the average user wont have to worry about it.

3.) Cost. Wireless is usually more expensive, but not always, depends on what your house is wired for, and what hardware you own.

4.) Convenience. Oh yeah, wireless wins here all the way.

Wireless: you don't need a fysical contact with anything. All transmittion of data goes through the air.

Wireless: The security is a problem. Anybody can access these data because the transmission is not controlled by hardware during the transport. So you have to deal with this through encryption.

One requires wires, the other does not. (You guess which is which).
The wired network is faster and more secure then a wireless system.
