Another game without TO involved will start to unravel the team. Throw TO the ball, he is the only playmaker on the team (just ask him).

I dont agree.
They have the running game, they just dont have the need to use it so much.
The threat of the running game opens the passing game..and vise-versa
If Dallas was rushing for over 100 yeards each week, it would make me more worried about their potential in the playoffs, because someone will stop the running game....and someone will stop the passing game...but not many (if any) can stop both at the same time.
I think they have the perfect balance. 2 great rb's, a great all-pro qb, a pretty awesome backup qb (previous Super Bowl winner), the best TE in football, T.O (which creates open spots for others to be great when he is doubled)..and we havent even played Terry Glenn all year.
As a Cowboys fan, my biggest concern in the pass defense. I think our CB's are a bit overrated. I'm tired of watching plays happen right next to those guys. It seems like they get burned everytime they are gone after. (and then they will intercept a pass, and make you feel like they are the best in the game again...ha)
Othr than that...they are AWESOME!
p.s....watch out for Tank Johnson in the playoffs...he will be 100% in game-shape by then. Remember, he is only playing his 3-4 game this next week, so its like the season is just now starting for him. He is being overlooked right now...but watch...his name will start popping up very soon!

The cowboys average 118.8 yards a game rushing, the Pats average 113.7. Know the facts before posting please.
That being said, great passing teams use the short pass as a running attack, forcing the safeties up to the line of scrimmage to open up the long pass. The Pats and Cowboys recent lackof dedication to the run doesn't bother me as no one has shown they can slow down or stop them.
Edit:
Since you claim I got the numbers wrong I suggest you contact Yahoo and let them know they are posting incorrect info on their website. Maybe they can hire you as their new stats man.
Damn. ESPN is wrong also. You really need to get on the phone to these people buddy.

Funny thing is, the Pats are the same way.
Julius Jones is a tire fire. Talk about pooping your pants at the absolute worst time. The guy is in a contract year, and he's shuffling his feet and farting around with the ball. No burst, no explosion. He runs into his blockers and falls down.
Barber is good, but I don't think he has the durability to handle 25-30 carries.
I think the Cowboys can run just enough to get to the Super Bowl.
Passing the ball should open up the run, so maybe Wade can lean on Garrett to be a little less predictable.

Um what??? The Cowboys run when they have to! If you can pass all day on a team then you don't have to run. They run when they need to! Marion Barber 20 yard touchdown run! Marion Barber 1 yard touchdown run on fourth down! They do run the ball it just does not seem like it because Julius Jones is worthless! Dallas is doing what works and what is has to do to win! If their pass game gets shut down then they will run more! Until then no need to! Run sets up the pass and vice versa! About T.O. It was shown in the beginning of the season that Dallas can win with out T.O. having a big game! If they double cover him it opens everyone else up! Just as it did on Sunday! What they are doing is working so no need to change it until it stops working!
Who ever said Garret is being predictable is dense, if that were the case teams would be shutting Dallas down and that ain't happening!

If they lose in the playoffs, I think it'll be because of something crazy that Romo does. He's been super LUCKY, all year with all the crazy throws and botched snaps. You can't do that in the playoffs.
The question is whether the teams they face have a decent pass rush and marginally good coverage. The Giants in week 1 were playing short-handed but in week 2, there was poor tackling and sub-par coverage.
I kno it sounds crazy, but I think the only team who can beat the Cowboys is New York, not because they're so great but because they kno the team the best. It's not the running game they have to stop, it's getting in Romo's face and forcing mistakes.

The Cowboys take what the defense gives them, the Patriots have no running game and are undefeated, there will be games when the Cowboys will rely strictly on the run,if they shut down the pass

unlike the Pass-only Pats, the 'Boys can run the ball effectively. Jason Garrett prefers to pass first and punish opponents deep, however, if the defenses is staying back, they can and have run the ball effectively. Their offense is virtually unstoppable, they will play in the super bowl without being worried in the playoffs.

no. they have a really good running game. better than most of the top teams (pats). if they wanted to they could easily have a good running game. if i recall marion barber had 3 touchdowns againts detriot. but if they are making a comeback like they were against sunday its not always best to run the ball with time running out

GREAT 1st answer Chuck!!! Passing sets up their run game. They are unstoppable with the run game with a lead in the 4th...that will get them through down the stretch in the playoffs
