wrong! wrong, wrong, wrong. swimming doesnt make you grow, i swam for 12 and im short. any tallness is most likely an illusion caused by water retention. BEWARE... excessive swimming as a teen can actually stunt your growth!

always remember fresh undies when you swim!

Swimming shouldn't be related to progress in peak. Whether or now not you swim will have no real effect on how tall you develop. Nevertheless, it is first-rate pastime which is just right for you. That said, height is usually genetic. So long as you get appropriate diet, you are not able to quite do anything else to control how tall you get. And unfortunately, at 17 a person more commonly has most likely reached his grownup peak. In infrequent instances, you may also grow a bit of bit more, however the unhealthy news is it's not likely. Feel of it this fashion, there's nothing you can do to grow any taller, however 5-8 shouldn't be that short, and either approach, you could still attain what you put your mind to.

No swimming cannot make you grow taller. I was a competitive swimmer for 15 years. It certainly did not help me any. If you want to be 2-5 inches taller, my advice (and I live by this), wear heels. ;)

Swimming does nothing to initiate lengthening your bones. The only way to make yourself taller than what your genetics have defined is heels on your shoes or surgery.

It's the opposite. If the water is cold, I shrink 2-5 inches.

It's absolutely not true. The only thing that will make you grow is your DNA. How tall you will be is determined at the moment of conception, and there is nothing you can do about it (except excruciatingly painful surgery where they break your legs and put in spacers).

Swimming doesn't make you taller. Although if you are in shape, you will be more likely to have good posture and stand taller...
