In the late 80s, Vince used the "Million Dollar Man" gimmick to represent himself. He had Ted DiBiase live the gimmick and put him up in the best hotels on the road, flew him 1st class and always had him driven around in limos. DiBiase talked about this extensively in his autobiography.

It's a story line, he is an evangelist now. I have met him while on the road with a Christian rock group.
