I was on another forum and this was asked, i answered, and was surprised at the answers

I don't have any money to spend this year--even on my kids. : (
In the past, I would spend maybe $100-$150 on each of them (2 boys).

as a child of parents i know my mom spends at least 300 on me and my sister and sually more around 400 on me just because I still live at home andshe finds a bunch of little stuff for me while she's out and about. It's a really big holiday for me and my mom so we usually go all out. I am only 18 and i usually spend at least 75 on my mom if not closer to 100. Parents are importnant they should be taken care of too. I'd get her more if i had the money.

I go overboard too. I have a 15 and 13 year old. I spend about $800 on each. I feel guilty just saying it. Its probably more than that even, but I am rounding it down...just a little.

I have two children and I try to do the best I can because like alot of people I am a single struggling mother. I don't spend a certain amount of money on them, just try to give them the same amount of gifts to open and a big present from Santa- Merry Christmas!!

Way too much - but I guess I've done it to myself. How can you not after years of doing it. I have a 9 yr old and a 7 yr old. Boy and girl. Probably about $300. each. That's what Santa Brings. Then the list gets broken up to the relatives.

I go overboard too fi my excuse is that they all have no grandparents every year i keep on thinking i'm going to put that extra money away for a wee holiday but of course i never do. Eldest is getting around£250, middle around £500 as he is getting a laptop(which will be to my benefit too if i ever get let on it), youngest around£150.

I have 3 boys, and I spend around $200 apiece on them. They really don't ask for much. I try not to go overboard, because I realize they will also be getting things from other people.

I have 4 and am single mom w/no child support and am only able to work part time so Christmas is usually not all i would like it to be. I spend about $200 on each. I wish it could be more.

well since we have 7 kids we don't buy each of them a lot. We spend around $100 each. But we are also taking them to Disney in a couple of months and that is part of their christmas present.
