It depends on your body how you will react to certain drugs. When I took the depo shot I had my period longer the first few months after I started taking the shot then didn't have my period at all after that until I quit taking it. My cousin on the other hand only had one week out of a month that she didn't have her period. So the way you react to the shot will always be different than someone else. I would keep track of your period over the next three months and share that information with your Doctor about the results at your next appointment. Since everyone is different depo may not be your best choice of birth control and you may have to choose a different type of birth control.

Unfortunately yes. You could bleed for MONTHS at a time on depo.

Please don't get another shot.

Read the reviews here: http://www.rateitall.com/t-330-birth-control-methods.aspx
and google "depo provera lawsuit" as there are several class action lawsuits against the makers of this drug!

Unfortunately there is nothing to get it out of your system, so you will have to put up with it until the twelve weeks are up.

Far TOO MANY women have horrible health issues on the shot and TOO FEW women have no problem on the shot. I would never ever recommend this to anyone.

not at all, contact your doctor, i had mine on asimilar date, the period lessened and went away, and the most common side effect is it going away, so truly, contact your doctor immidiatly, that isn't normal
