Equality… I wish that we had equality. Women have something that men wanted since the beginning of time; therefore, any woman with a brain knows how to manipulate her man; thus, women never had an equality deficit.
With the rise of the feminist movement, we now have given women far more power than anybody deserves. The money that women have isn’t their own, it’s the exorbitant amount of child support that courts feel the need to give them. “Your wife’s too lazy to work, but you still need to support her and your children. She isn’t happy with you so she left you to run around with other men. We feel that it’s in the best interest of the children that you pay her 30% of your gross earnings…” Rather than spend the support money that supposedly for their children, they go to the mall and blow it on whatever their heart desires.
The only difference between a chauvinist and a feminist is the sex of the mammal. There is no difference, both are locked into some myopic struggle for power, and they’re stepping on the toes of millions of people along the way.
To the person that commented “their own wealth.” That’s laughable! Show me anybody that has their own wealth! 90% of this country is working poor!
Feminists don't want equality! If women were equal to men, women would have to lose significant power or men would have to gain a significant amount. Despite the fact that men hold a lot of titles, it's nothing more than a woman being smart and permitting her man to wear a facade to appear powerful. Men are pretty simple; therefore, easily controlled by women. Most men are nothing more than trained circus monkeys.

Are you assuming that men pay for ALL of this? Do you know how many women actually work?!
And do you really think that more shops for men wouldn't have opened if there had been a demand for that? We live in a consumer society, in case you've just woken up from the middle ages. Therefore, businesses will cater for whoever will buy their products. So, if there are more shops for women's clothing, it's simply because women tend to buy more clothes than men!

Or maybe... just maybe it's because women have more of a desire to shop than men and the media is smart and sly enough to aim to where it makes the most money. It's probably the same reason most porn shops have more lingerie for women than men. The demand just isn't high enough for men in thongs. But YOU can make a difference and go parade in a thong with a sign about equal rights.
Enough talk, put the thong on...

Because generally speaking, men hate shopping.
Feminism has had many curious effects upon society since its inception. The most striking of these is that it has dulled our awareness of gender differences (which DO exist). People want to see equality in things that are inherently unequal. Most men dislike shopping. Most women like shopping. It has nothing to do with the moral and spiritual equivalence of men and women, nor the equal right of both genders to gainful employment of equal pay for equal work (these were the things that sparked the growth of feminism). Because of differences in emotional and psychological development, as well as differences in societal expectations (this statement is arguable), men and women are predisposed to like different things. Smart feminists don't complain about these things, whether they affect men or women. However, some feminists are hateful, power-hungry maniacs. They see the opportunity for political power, and rally an army of angry lesbians and neurotic college students to lobby the government and cause them to pass laws favourable to women and feminism. I'm curious to see what the outcome of all of this will be in 10 or 20 years in the future- will society come to its senses or will we persist in these one-sided rulings?

Thats a stupid question. Marketing research shows that women do far more shopping and spend far more time at the mall than men. You appeal to the people who are spending money. If men have a problem with it why dont they picket? Oh yeah they dont want to be in the mall in the first place.

Men's wealth? Last time I checked I was spending my well earned money.
But it is supply and demand and women demand more. With most women now having their own money, the demands continue to increase. The things men buy are typically more expensive so the buy less of them (video games, cars, motorcycles, sports memorabilia, etc.).
But it was a nice attempt to twist things around, sadly most people on here are too smart for that nonsense.

You should ask the disproportionately male fashion designers. While you're at it, can you see about convincing some of them to design a greater variety of clothing for men. I personally find the lack of variety in men's trousers a bit sad. At least in Scotland there are highly attractive kilts for the gents. See what you can do, would you? My frustration certainly hasn't seen any change. Hopefully you'll be successful.

When will you misogynists understand - most women are NOT feminists, so they have no need to think about their materialism (unless they are anti capitalists). Besides, liberal feminists are quite pro materialism as they believe in spending power as much as any other kind of power (generalisation there, but I am tired now).

WOW. That must have taken awhile to come up with huh?
A. We don't need your wealth and B. I'm sure when there's a demand for more men's stores, the malls will comply.

I've never really noticed. That's because all those clothing stores either sell clothing intended for teenagers, fat women, or petite women. Since I don't fall into any of those categories, I generally don't pay much attention to those stores.
