I have always been interested in history, archeology, the space program, astronomy, paleontology, dinosaurs, and so many other things. My screen name Curious Connie tells it all. I am not taking any classes, just looking everything up on line. This computer has been the neatest thing ever for learning new things. I have email alerts for new discoveries. I also have alerts on My Yahoo for Archeology news. Live Science in great for so many of these. Do you know we will be able to see a huge meteor shower on the night of the 13th? That should be awesome!

Way to go Shan!!
As you know I am in college full time and although I had finished my generals I was required to take Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology this semester as prerequisites for entering my major program. I had always avoided these subjects like the plague. I have never been so fascinated in my life!-Especially Anthropology. If I was 20 years younger I would change my major. I always thought it was the same as archeology-digging and stuff-but that is only 1/5 of it.
I can't wait to turn 62 because in my state college is free for those 62+. My dream would be just to go to school full time for the rest of my life.
I too love to learn from the internet. You can just find something about anything.

I've been doing some reading on the hidden years of Jesus,
and the treks he made to India, and Turkey & France, to study the people and their religious beliefs. He later used some of his discoveries in his own teachings and began to
instill a more peaceful way of living. He taught that God was
not a vengeful God, but a peaceful one. And as 'a' son of
God, so should they be also.
My husband and I have made a study of religious miscon-
ceptions, and have discovered many fallicies since the thousands of years since Jesus died. And how the church that Paul began, caused those distortions that we accept as 'gospel' today. There are countless books on the actual truths, if anyone cares to want the entire truth. But in doing so, it turns the entire belief system, upside down. I have found this research to be highly interesting, but at the same time, it has rocked my foundation of Christian beliefs. It is clear, that the Church Of Rome (which Paul began), has done a terrible injustice to the believers in Christianity and it's all been in the name of one common greed. Money! They have always been the richest church on earth, with the largest following. And they intend to keep it that way.

Political process.....never cared for politics and was totally ignorant about most. I've been going strong for awhile. Made my first calls and complaints and sit down discussions with Representatives and Senators etc. Some things just got my knickers in a knot and I couldn't idly sit by and let it happen or wait for someone else to do something about it.

In my spare time I am learning more about office applications in Microsoft Suite...other than that and when the mood strikes me researching whatever comes to mind [which runs the gamut!]...nothing else.
I had thought about going back to law school for 1/2 nanosecond and that idea got old before I could say my name! LOL

i am learning more about how to use the Internet, and taking a genetics course... i am amazed how genes relate to personality among family members what really interested me and got me started studying genetics was........my niece and her father have the same personality traits in the way they react to people, their ways about them, learning ability, the way they dance. etc....[the interesting thing is they never hung around with each other, [so it can not be learned behavior] this is most interesting to me and i am studying for fun not a grade. i am also teaching my grand kids [all girls] crafts and sewing, knitting.. lots of fun for me. learning new ideas from them, especially the computer, they have skills that we trade to each other..........

Yes, like Chip Monk my guitar gently weeps at the thought of me trying to play it again. Also I am trying to get my Masters in psychology. And I am trying to give up smoking, so it is a good thing I have something else to concentrate on.
