My father in Law has the same problem and a friend of mine so I always make a point of two presents and a special birthday card to separate the occasions

I was born on Christmas Eve and I have 2 presents . I open my birthday presents at midnight 23/24 December and my Christmas presents at midnight 24/25 December.
Of course, I was my mum's favourite Christmas present-EVER !
I've never had just one present to do both occasions -but-hey-it wouldn't matter
I get a lot of combined Christmas/Birthday cards though, and they are always lovely

My mother-in-law is on Christmas Eve and we always have separate days/presents. Why should her birthday get lost in with all the Christmas stuff?

We do a half birthday. It's just not fair when your birthday is really close to Christmas. It's also not fair to people who have to buy TWO presents when their budget is already stretched thin. So, Christmas is normal, then we do a little special something for their birthday. Then we do a half birthday bash in the summer. It's fun!

If his birthday is December twenty fourth then supply him his birthday can provide on that day purely as you do - or will - on your different infants on their birthdays. I easily have met maximum of persons who, whilst adults, experience that their have been cheated on their birthday by way of fact it replaced into on or maybe close to to Christmas. i do no longer understand while your birthday is, in spite of the undeniable fact that that's needless to say no around Christmas. i'm confident which you get (and anticipate) presents out of your husband considering that's inspite of each little thing your birthday. Your new child must be made to experience specific on his birthday, so do no longer forget approximately it by way of fact he shares it with Jesus.

My son was born on Boxing Day. He gets half and half really. Would cost me a fortune otherwise. Not that I'm tight, but it's a hard time of year to have a child at!
