Here is why I say that there bench is not as deep as SA and PHX. They don't have the experience that the SA and PHX has. And another thing they have not beating any top notch team.

Phoenix Suns could have won a championship last year if it wasn't for the suspensions.

The Celtics are the best defensive team in the league thanks to Garnett. And in playoff basketball when the games slows down they would beat the Suns. But the Suns wont make it past the Spurs so it doesnt matter. I gotta give the Spurs the edge over the Celts right now but I think they will match up very well. They are killing everybody and the only losses have been tight games on the road against good teams.
The bench is solid, Posey and House fit in perfect with the Big 3 and Big Baby has been impressive so far. Tony Allen is an athletic defensive stopper who will play better and more as his knee improves, which is big because Ray is playing too many minutes. I do think they might need another big guy because Pollard and Scalabrine suck.
They have plenty of experience and leaders on that team. The big 3 have all been to conference finals and the playoff multiple times. Posey won a ring. House played on good teams, and the young guys like Rondo, Perkins and Davis are solid and team 1st guys. This should be the best finals matchup in years.
Watch out for The Truth in the playoffs. Hes gonna remind everyone how good he is and show the paper tigers who some might rate higher than him like Tmac, Vince, Arenas and Dirk how an all star should play in big games.

As a Spurs fan, I think they have the best shot at repeating this season. I normally wouldn't brag on them this early in the season, but I do think they made a statement when they beat both Dallas and Utah without Duncan in the middle.
I do believe they can beat the Celts in the playoffs, that is really what counts. No one really cares about your regular season record. The Spurs are deep and are experienced, not only in the playoffs, but playing together as a team.
The Celts have much to prove, they haven't play Dallas, Utah, Phoenix, or San Antonio. However, they did beat Denver (contenders in the west as well) and they beat the Lakers (not a real contender, but a playoff team).
As for your excuses about the Suns losing because of suspensions, they were winning game 5 going into the 4th quarter and blew the lead! Give up that argument already, they need to learn to play defense first!

The Celtics are amazing this year with their big 3 (KG, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen) BUT they can NOT and will NOT beat MY SPURS! Yes, Tim Duncan is out, but the Spurs' bench has more than stepped up and proved that they can get the win with or without him. I can see them (Boston) getting a win over the SUNS though. I'm still trippin' that Miami beat the SUNS lastnight!!!

Id say the Spurs are a better team, suns are too.. but Boston hasnt played either of these teams yet, so they will get a chance to prove who's the better team. Just because Boston hasn't played many elite teams yet this season doesn't mean that they wouldn't be 17-2 if they had played elite teams.

lets save the assumptions for after the celtics play every team in the league
i dont think you know if they could beat the suns, because there are a lot of trade rumors surrounding them
injuries are also a factor
so you are retarded for saying that the celtics could not beat the suns, considering they have taken nice juicy dumps on the teams that they have played
the celtics probably could because they have a really good bench, despite all of the criticism, but someone could get hurt on the celtics, so you never know

No one knows whom can beat who. Tim Duncan is hurt currently, so before stating who would win, wait for the Playoffs and Herman Edwards says, "That's why you play the game!" I agree that the Celtics dosen't have a bench as deep as ANYONE in the west that will make the playoffs, but with a 82 game season, anything can happen.
