OK dress shopping crash course!
lol this is easy!
#1 be patient.
All you have to do is tag along. Think about sports. Bring your cell and look up stuff. Veg out. Just tag along but look happy. No asking" are we almost done" no saying "this is the tenth store we have been in why can't you find a dress!?" You will be tempted to say this. It will suck. Just breath and be patient. Walk, sit, smile, nod. repeat in each store. Throw in a few "oh baby" 's and "wow you look hot"'s and you will get some hot action later for it.
IF and WHEN she says "how do I look?" always answer " nice, very nice baby" while nodding or some form of that.
If she looks awful just say "hmmm, nice but it doesn't do you justice" Got that? Memorise that sentence.
Never say it looks bad. NEVER.
She will pick the one she likes on her own. She is a woman. All you have to do is say what looks better if you do have an opinnion. LET her decide. Even if you slightly disagree on her pick, she wears it. If she hates it later she might blame you, so let her have the last word.
So in short.....PATIENCE. PATIENCE. PATIENCE. "wow baby you look hot" or "that dress does not do you justice" got it ? Play it right and you will be getting much appreciation later in the evening if you catch my drift. :)
Good luck.

Going to shop for a dress for a special occasion with your girlfriend, huh? Okay, here are the dos and donts of that little project. DO say home. DON'T go dress shopping with her. This is one of those situations where you will spend loooooong hours bored out of your skull and when she asks you a question about how the dress looks or which dress she should pick, no matter what you say, it is wrong. It is a no win situation. Tell her that you have something, anything, to do at that time. Plan ahead and have an answer for her when she asks what you have to do. Tell her that you will meet her and take her to lunch/dinner. Then take her to some nice place to eat. sure it will cost a few extra bucks but it is money well spent, trust me.

Hmm.. it all depends if she is going to wear it on a party or gathering and you are with her. If YES, get a dress in which you think would flatter her assets, skin color, comfortable and over all looks great on her and she can carry the dress as well. Of course your opinion is important to her, so don't be tactless. If you dont like the dress tell her nicely. It would be great and just to be sure if you can ask her if you have a say on the type of dress she plans to buy or if she wants your opinion, or she is just bringing you to plainly accompany her. You can also ask her what type of dress is she looking for so that you can help her. She would really appreciate it a lot!
Most of all .. Have fun!

Don't hold the dress up & say how would this look on me.
Do flood her with compliments & be honest about whether or not it looks good on her. You don't have to go into details as to why.

Be honest but always answer the "Do I look fat in this dress" question with a "No" with no hesitation.

don't tell her a lie....but please don't say something makes her look fat...figure out a nice way to dissuade her from purchasing a really wrong dress without being brutally honest
like say the color is not quite right etc...just never say it makes her look fat

You are only there to confirm whatever she chooses is right, your independent input is not realy wanted, agree with her & hope she finds a couple she likes quickly, enjoy
