A 60 year old man had a road rage fit and got the other driver to pull over ... he went up to the window, giving him the finger and challenging a man half his age to a fistfight.

The 30 year old man looked frightened, and would not step out of his vehicle.

The 60 year old man is bragging to everyone of his "victory" ... would you consider it a victory?

I'd say his victory was in proving himself an idiot. A man of any age should not be acting in that manner and then boasting that he was the victor. Of what?

Heck no. This 60 year old man has scored no victory. Acting crazy and violent isn't even remotely admirable. The 30 year old man probably thought he was dealing with an unstable nutcase rather than an angry normal man. The 60 year old has nothing to be proud of. I find him sad and quite lacking. Edit: And the others are right! The 30 year old is screwed either way - for elder abuse or for being sissy. Might want to let the old man know this...I'm hadn't thought of that - the 30 year old HAD to "let him win". But if the 60 year old is as senile as the facts indicate - I don't think it would matter.

It is not a victory because he lost control of his emotions.

I can intimidate young guys too but what is the point? What if that guy had a gun and just shot the 60 yo man. What if the young guy was a martial arts expert and dropped him like a brick. Risking your life over a stupid traffic incident is stupid, just plain stupid.

Anyone that would do that to me would be in for a rude awakening as they lay in the street bleeding. I will not fight fair when I am attacked.

He beat the odds anyway. The chances are enormous that the other driver, regardless of age, would simply roll down his window, shoot him to death and leave his worthless carcass by the roadside.

Kudos to the younger, more rational man for not taking the old bastard's bait and staying in his car.

Age is irrelevant here. The senile old buzzard acted like a raving lunatic and any sane person would have kept a safe distance from him.

Mate, as a bloke of the same age, I know from experience how hard it is to keep up with my 30 year old girlfriend and use every trick in the book to keep her satisfied so theres no way I'd pick on a bloke of 30 to fight.
Make love not war I say.

no. i would say the 30 year old didn't look frightened, probably amazed, and knew if he got out of his car he not only would have hurt the older man, he would have gone to jail for doing so.

To have wordily duel is different from having actual physical fight. No civilised person would do that. As for age difference, no one 'd fight a person double his age. It's respect for the age. If a person of my father's age hits me, I won't retaliate.
