I love the Italian, Chinese, and basically everything else across the board. I could also go for a Philly Cheesesteak.

I have actually lived in 13 foreign countries and 33 of the states. So speaking from experience I can say Paris, France. I had seafood including my first taste of escargot, followed by some pastries. The light chablis to wash it down was exceptional.

Just for shear choice and volume in the U.S. I'd say New York but that's no guarantee for quality (best). In fact, in a lot of cases it's a detriment. (You've no doubt seen the rat infestation stories about New York restaurants)
You know, when it comes down to it, do you really taste any difference in the food because of where you are. I can get a steak, Chinese or Italian right here in my little southern NC town that's every bit as good as I'd get in Kobe, Hong Kong or Rome.
I know because my job has allowed me to travel to those places and it really wasn't any better.

I have been to hundreds of cities and towns and found good food in all of them. Sense seafood is a favorite of mine I would have to say the best I ever found was in the New England states. Portland, Maine had awesome lobster.

I like to think DETROIT , michigan , it does have different sections , mexican town , china town , polish town , italian section , and even a mideastern section , with all their food plus we have some of the best BBQ places in the world and downtown we got these 24 hour coney island .....so we do have food from around the world .....my favorite is arab food [ raw or baked kibbee ]
