Not mentioned in the Bible OR other religious writings/teachings. So G-d given, no. As to constitutionally given - the 2nd amendment reads:
"(it) declares a well-regulated militia as "being necessary to the security of a free State" and prohibits infringement of "the right of the people to keep and bear arms.""
The Supreme Court has decided to take up the case to see if the concept is "We have the right to bear arms" or "We have the right to bear arms within a militia".
Either way - should be an interesting court case.

Sorry, I don't agree with your interpretation of that event!
God and guns have absolutely nothing in common. And the 'fact' that what she said appeared in the media is further evidence that the media continues to "sway" things to their point of view to sell TV, newspapers and magazines. I'm a security guard, with the inalienable right to carry a weapon, in the performance of my duties for the client, and as they were given by the Constitution of this great United States. The weapon is only a tool, to be used only as an answer to the presentation of deadly force against another, or property, under your watch, while within the confines of the contract drawn up between you and the client. The right to "carry," as you put it, should only be granted to folks who have had the proper training, testing and licensing.
God gave us all the right, and power to pray to Him for our protection, so my answer is a resounding NO!

The Founding Fathers certainly thought it was our God given right ....and the documents they created, that have guided our country from that day to this, have each and every one THANKED God, and acknowledged His presence and influence on us. The security guard did what she had to do in order to save innocent lives....surely protecting others is what she had the gun for.

When the Supernal puts a gun in my hand, then I have the god given right to carry it. That doesn't mean I have the right to USE it, though.

God given right? No, Constitutionally given right? YES.
A gun is like any other tool. It can be used for good, or bad. It's not the tools fault, it's the person using it's fault.

Guns don't kill, people kill. And to answer that question you would have to know god and prove that you know god to prove it is a god given right. Otherwise it's just speculation.

If God wanted us to carry guns around, we would have been born with one in our hand!
Guns don't kill... The moron behind it does!
And read the bible folks! God NEVER allows to judge in His place so to say "I killed and God approved it..."
Guess you'll get a lecture at the gates ;o)

Uh - God didn't make guns. Man did.
There's nothing in the Bible about guns. Check for yourself.
If guns weren't so darned available to every whacko feeling depressed, neither of the church shootings would have happened. But they did...and now you're dragging God into it? Wow. What a thought process you have!
