You hit the nail on the head! That is exactly the argument I have used for years every time my son mentioned about carrying a donor card. I have always thought how easy it would be to decide to 'give up' on one patient just so their organs can be used on someone else. Mind you, on the other side of the coin, how would I feel if my SON needed an organ? I still would not want doctors to let a patient go in order to achieve that. It's a question I doubt will ever have a satisfactory answer.

My older sisters boyfriend was a personal injury lawyer years ago.He said not to sign them just for that reason alone.
think about it,what if some rich person was paying under the table for a new heart.You have to protect yourself.

Depends whether they want a kebab or not! I don't think anyone is going to go through your pockets looking to see if you have a donor card before they take you to hospital. So no, I wouldn't worry about it.
