No. An equlilateral triangle is a 3 sided shape. Quadrilateral is another name for 4 sided shape, eg. Square, Rectangle, Kite.

tri-=3 quad-=4, makes no sense to say its a equalateral triangle is a quadrilateral. an equalateral triangle just means thats the triangle has 60 degree angles and that the 3 sides are equavilent.
