Can anyone tell me at what points, (English and French), the Channel becomes the North Sea?

The maps I've looked at seem to indicate that it ceases to be the English Channel northeast of the Strait of Dover, between Dover and Calais (the narrowest point of the Channel). The Thames is considered to flow into the North Sea.
