As far as their supporters go, it seems to be divided by race as was the OJ trial. And even after conviction their supporters continue to support them despite what horrable things they did. And alot of them consider the outcomes to be racism.... Anyone agree? Disagree?

True, however he did lose the wrongful death trial. That proves his guilt beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Well put. However, you have to admit OJ loosing the wrongful death case proves he killed them...

I agree. And you forgot Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Exploiting their own race for financial gain. The black community embraces them. A guy like Bill Cosby who says "Wake up and get out and do somthing for yourself." he is dubbed an Uncle Tom...

Yes you are right. White America cant stand either of them. Because they are sick f-ing human beings. Nothing to do with their color.... but thanks for proving my point.

I hate to discuss race issues. This is the way I see it. As far as the black leaders go, jesse jackson, rev al sharpton, quanell x, and so on, they are racist biggots. They complain about racism yet they are racists. So, I for one do not wanna listen to hypocrasy from anyone nor from any race.
OJ and Vick broke the law and race is not a factor and the only reason these guys are in the headlines is because OJ is a hall of famer and Vick was a current starting qb in the nfl.
If Joe Montana or Frank Gifford killed dogs or committed armed robbery the whites would not cry racism when they were convicted. I think that everyone should not think race plays a part in these guys convictions. Vick could have recieved a 60 month sentence and he should be glad of the 23 month sentence.

Are you serious?
Disagree. For starters OJ was not covicted.
What does racism have to do with anything? Vick lied to investigators, made false statements on trial, and was directly involved in animal cruelty. This all was proven. That is why the judge gave him the higher end of the sentencing. That would have happened to anyone in that circumstance.
As far as OJ's supporters continuing to support him, despite the horrible things he "did" (never proven!), I don't think anyone supports him, and if anything, people hung him out to dry unfairly. Yet Vick seems to STILL have supporters, even though he admitted guilt and blatantly lied during the investigation.
I see little to no similarities in the cases.

The key difference here is that OJ maintained his innocence throughout. Vick not only admitted to wrong doing but goes and gets himself drugged up during his trial when he full well knows he's going to get caught.
OJ supporters are willing to turn a blind eye and hope for the best.
Vick supporters are simply blind and refuse to believe the worst.

The biggest difference is that Vick got jail time. OJ did not! Convicting Vick of dog fighting has nothing to do with racism and anyone who thinks differently is just delusional.

Huh? I don't get it, why are you anti-Vick people comparing him to OJ? Vick admitted responsibility to his crime, OJ didn't, nor did Vick make any excuses. I'm an African American, I believe OJ got away with murder as well!!! It was the prosecution's fault for not being able to "solidly" show evidence that he did.

Well Vick has to go to prison, so no there are not similarities in the way that they were punished. Similarities as far as race went, well they are both effing idiots. Black, white yellow, red. Nothing changes that.

Yes, they are both black...and support and disdain seems to be along racial lines...You can thank the OJ criminal trial jury for that...Mostly black, but with all the evidence AGAINST OJ, a NOT GUILTY verdict...Really screwed up...

They are both just public figures, that think they are above the law. Race dosn't matter. Idots come in all colors..Many supporters are blinded by the fame, and cann't see the truth that is in front of them.

of course, African Americans will stick up for him. African Americans have been one of the most abused races since as far back as i can remember (and i am VERY old and very Caucasian) within this country (next to native Americans). so when people see OJ many people in general see only his color. and that is all some people need in order to pass swift judgment on whether he is innocent or not.
