From a couple years ago... Right now I'd say Francour is right after Ichiro, Guillen and Guerrero. Within a couple years, Francour WILL have the best arm though...

Francour does have a pretty awesome arm in the outfield. But he still has to prove that his arm can last for a long time. One thing I always worry about is that a young outfielder may throw out his arm. Right now, Ichiro and Vlad have the best arms, but Francour has some great talent. Another pretty good arm that people haven't mentioned is Nick Markakis. He has a pretty darn good arm as well. It just isn't seen as much because he plays for the Orioles. Not to mention he will do almost anything to catch a ball, even diving into the stands at Fenway Park.

ESPN.com has
Delmon Young, Ichiro, Francouer, Shane Victorino, Brad Hawpe, Josh Hamilton, Andruw Jones, Torii Hunter, Big Bad Vlad.

As an LA fan, I'll give you 2 more kids with rockets: Matt Kemp and Jason Repko.
Repko missed all of last year, and most of 06, but when he unleashes, he throws harder than Brad Penny or Jonathan Broxton. He doesn't get the credit because he doesn't play much, but if he did, he'd be on sportscentral every night. He's got a Clemente-Barfield-Parker-Evans-Winfield-Ichiro type of arm.

And the weakest is Juan Pierre. He can't throw out a guy tagging up on a 200-ft pop-up. Any random fan in the stands can throw better than Pierre.

If you are asking stictly about arm strength it is really hard to tell, there are a lot of players with great arms. Guys like Guerrero and Francoeur can just launch the ball. Personally, I think Francoeur has the best arm, and its hard to argue because no one in all the majors has thrown out more runners then he has since Francoeur's first day in the majors. Thats pretty impressive.

I will second the response of Andrew Meeds, Ichiro has the strongest arm in MLB. What really sets him apart when compared to Francouer and all the others is his accuracy. A strong arm is useless if the ball doesn't wind up at it's intended location and Ichiro is far more accurate than everyone else. Let me add one more thing. Ichiro, as good as he is defensively would have to take a back seat to Roberto Clemente.

Vladimir Guerreo and Jose Guillen. But who can name the player with the most outfield assists since 2000? That would be Mark Kotsay.

I think Vlad Guerrero has the best arms in the outfield. He's a cannon.
