I know this is an old question revisted, but lets really look at it, Pats paid well total 3/4ths a million dollars coach and team.
And are making the playoffs so loose their 1st round pick.
Do you really think this is fair? League wise not just for the Pats.
And how bout those Pats! gonna go 19-0 and get the second pick overall thanks to a trade with the 49ers. Go Evil Genius!

Ice: your point is fair and I look forward to the AFC championship game.
Randy: a few things 1. what's mercedes?, 2 the baseball "black sox" were caught cheating to lose in the world series not April. 3. again track runners were caught cheating durring the gold metal round, not making the team.

The money from the coach was huge, it told the coachs that they and not the francise would get the biggest punishment if this type of disregard was caught again.
The draft pick was also huge, they could lose out on a 10 time all star - hall of famer with that pick. Yes they have San Fran's pick but they gave up value to get it, either way it was a big hit to them.

Yes, I think it's fair, and I wish we could just move on. The pats have, Goodell has, why can't we?
There are so many better things to focus on in the NFL than bitching about a minor infraction that had ZERO impact on the field. So let's LET IT GO.

If you look at the mercedes team who got caught cheating, they had to give up their Championship this year and pay 50 million dollars, and new england got a slap on their wrist, pathetic. Baseball players get suspended for cheating, F1 drivers have to give up their Championship, track runner gives her metals back and The Patriots go maybe 19-0 with a championship.
Mercedes Race team in the Formula world racing. And this was the Second time they got busted, last year they got busted in Green bay, what they do? Nothing, what a bunch bias. if this would of happend to the Raiders, Al Davis would sit in jail right now

If you're a Pats fan, why question it?...Yes, it was poor sportsmanship by the Hooded One...and they got fined for it, the biggest single possible fine...and lose a first round draft pick...I think that was fair...

no, should have had to forfeit that game at the very least. No way thay would have risked cheating if their were no competitive advantage to be had. Colts will still spank them in the playoffs.
