15 bucks a month but make sure you are willing to dedicate all your time to this game if you love videogames and have nothing to do i say go for it. sometimes WOW can get in the way of annoying tasks ie. Jobs, wives, friends etc.

The monthly fee is around $15. If you buy game cards, it may be slightly cheaper. There are also small discounts if you have your credit card charged in larger increments (like 3 month periods). Certain states, like Illinois, add a tax onto it, which pushes the price to around $16.50 a month.
Still, it's a good price for a month's worth of entertainment.

WoW is $19.99 at gamestop. The next expansion, the burning crusade, is $29.99. The upcoming expansion, wrath of the lich king, which is scheduled to be released fall of '08, is $40.00.

From your question i take it you would just be starting so you do not need to buy Burning crusade at this time. You need to be level 58 before it will become useful to you and it may take quite awhile to level to 58... so... for now... just the Basic WoW game is all you need.

$14.99 in most states, some states you end up having to pay a small extra fee on top of that. definitely worth the fee if you can afford it.
