Why would you want to use conventional oil at all??? Synthetic oil lasts longer, protects better, and doesn't form sludge, varnish, etc. Conventional oil doesn't even come close to that kind of protection. Mobil one is the best overall, but there are others like Amsoil, Castrol Pentosin and Alf. Do try to stay with the synthetics, your engine will like you more.

You can use any type of oil you want at any time, the effect to the interior seals is slim to none with either oil. Remember to stay with the manufacturer's reccomended weight/viscosity. Toyota Camry reccomds a 5W-30 (The W means "Winterized" not Weight by the way.)
Anyone who says you can only use one type of oil is an idiot or is trying to get money out of you. Ask them what a synthetic blend is. (A mix of Conventional and Synthetic.)

Yeah you can mix them, but you will run the chance of making the engine leak oil. Synthetic and Conv. oils are manufactured in completelty different ways and have different ingrediants to them.. Synthethic oil soaks into the rubber seals. Conventional oil has more detergents and cleaners in it and will clean out the synthetic and seep through and thus make the engine leak. General rule: if you use one stick with that one. Also stay with the same weight of oil as well.. Same with types of gas.. don't bounce around to different types of fuel makers..

Synthetic and petroleum based oils are entirely compatible. Mix them switch them, the only difference is the resistance to breakdown under high temp that synthetic has.

of course it is. just make sure you do a complete oil change before inserting the new oil. change your filter and drain all old (synthetic oil) first then inserting the new oil you wish to use. no one ever uses the same oil over and over again, and any car care specialist would not reccommend using the same one over and over again either.

well my man i just wanna add to the bunch all of them are right if u got no regard for ure vehicle its all a matter of how new ure car and how much u care for it. if its 2003 or newer i would recommend u stick with synthetic, but none the less to me putting something on the car that exagerates on advertising is not something really necessary...so if somebody say's put this 4electrode sparks on ure vehicle to boost power thats a lie, because sparkplugs the only job they do its putting spak and one electrode will suffice.......
