need advice do you think it is right to let girls wrestle or to say no just cuz of gender. I asked the coach of my high school team and he said if i wanted to join that he would more than likely say no b/cuz the other teams would forfeit and it would be pointless to be on the team. i just want to prove that girls can do it. ive been training with a district winner and i think i would be good enough but would the coach let me join or say no b/cuz gender????? Is that right or wrong

Hey We had two girls on our team when i wrestled and they pinned kids. I dont know where you go to school but in NY they have to allow it. And the other team wont forfeit....they go out and wrestle you just as hard if not harder. Just make sure that when your on that mat...your tougher than one of the guys and you want it more than they do....good luck

If there isn't a girls wrestling team in your school, the coach can't just tell you that you can't join the team. That's discrimination and he can get in trouble for it. Although, if you have to try out then there is a chance that you won't make the team. I'd just do it and if he makes a big stink about it, tell your principle. Good luck

I have no objection to it but if you pin/beat your male opponent, there may some teasing from his teammates. The male ego is very delicate. Good luck though
