Could this have led to the massacre that happened in Utah territory later?

Actually Pink 1957 - it WAS enforced! Many Mormons were killed, women raped and many fled to other states for protection.

the order was finally rescinded in 1976 by Missouri Gov. Christopher Bond, who also offered his regrets on behalf of the state.

not sure about a massacre in Utah, but it did lead to 17 Mormons being massacred in 1838 and many homes being burned in Missouri

Yes, it was repealed in 1976 by then Governor Christopher Bond - but by then the Mormons had lost their lives, their homes, and their freedoms.
The same kind of hatred that the early Mormons faced shows up still with the anti Mormon attitudes. They just can't use the law as a means of harassment anymore

Horrible what happened and sad time in our history as many others. You would think the ACLU would have fixed that instead of some of the frivolous suits. From the look of questions there are several different dates and hope it has been. If not we will boycott and march on Missouri, no matter what the ACLU says.

yes, it has been repealed not sure when, but it was in the last 20 years.
kind of to the massacre, the people involved (it was not church sponsored) had been driven out of multiple homes, the army was coming after them again, the were likely scared and just wanted to be left alone. Not an excuse by any means, but an explanation of what they may have been thinking.

Yeah, they repealed it about 31 years ago. Isn't that kind of funny? You could legally kill a Mormon until about 1976.

Yes, it did happen. “The LDS remains silent about their responsiblity for it, naturally. Takes two to tango. “ “No one ever acted on that order and killed a Mormon.” Anti-Semites have said similar things about the Holocaust too. Kind of scary, right?

Wow! Brutal! I've never heard of that. I hope it has been repealed, because that's just wrong. I'm not a Mormon, but I wouldn't want someone putting a hit on me for my religion. Oh wait, radical Muslims are doing just that. Almost forgot.
