2001 Chevy Impala Wipers Stuck Half Way?

Why would the wipers on my impala get stuck half way when I turn them off?

There is a mechanical park pawl that sits on top of the wiper motor that usually gets bent or worn out on these. There is no fix except to replace and time it to your motor. These are tricky to time properly.
