Do Liberals really believe screaming at troops, saves their lives, or just makes Troops less likely to fight?

What has screaming, "You're maimed for a lie!" at Washington Memorial Hospital, to hurt American troops done to save their lives? Do you think any of those troops changed their minds about serving their country, after hearing this taunt?
Does telling the troops "You can't win!" bring up the spirits of the troops, or bring them down, so low, that they might believe America doesn't love, or care about them?
What effect does this attitude have on our soldiers, and the opinion of the world on America?

If they believe it saves lives, It just shows their lack of knowledge when it comes to our military. As far as making them less likely to fight, our troops are too professional to be sucked in by that garbage.

Who remembers the 'war protests' of the mid 60's to mid 70's. A horrable amount of degradidations directed towards those troops returning home, after doing their jobs.
I fear that todays 'counter culture' will go down the same shi*y road, those then, traveled.
The Democrats, in power at this time, are willing to commit most any act, that will demoralise our troops, just to futher their "warped political agenda".
Liberals do not appreciate the sacrifaces our troops are making, and have a huge propensity for showing their asz's, when ever a 'news team' is available.

It is a sad state of affairs when people take advantage of anothers impediment to support their own agenda. You can thank many of our elected officials (Little Dick Durbin, John "Shaky" Murtha and Dirty Harry Reed, etc.) for their own public outcries. They led the uproar if you'll remember. Actually, I know a few troops in Iran and they are most upset by the medias lack of honest coverage of their efforts. It is obvious the major news providers are only over there to report anything that can be used against the Bush administration. It is their political stance that has taken priority over legitimate reporting. Personally, I don't have a problem with people disagreeing with our troop deployment. I just wish they would show a little more concern for our men and women in harms way.

You know what really ticks me off? Why are people always screaming at military personnel like its their fault there is a war? They follow orders. They do their job. They entered the service to fight for our freedom in which ever way our government sees fit. My husband serves in the Navy. Definitely not because of the pay. I have to work full time as well just so we can make ends meet for us and our children. He does it because he loves him country and he's proud to serve and protect it. But I think this attitude of putting down the soldiers is very upsetting to them. Half of the pride they get from the job is knowing that they protect people. How much better can that feel when the people they are proud to protect mock and scorn them for doing their duty? They give up alot for us. In that same measure, how nice is it for families of the military to look at these hateful people and know the sacrifices they themselves make is appriciated in this way? The soldiers don't ask for the wars, they fight them. The families don't ask to loose time, or possibly the lives, of the ones they care about, but they too make the sacrifices. I think these people need to pull their head out of the political sand and appriciate the efforts of those who fight.

People like these will tell you that they are for the troops, but against the government. Well as a Iraqi War Veteran I will tell you that you can not be both. Like it or not our orders put us there. When there are demonstrations like this it emboldens our enemies. They see them on CNN and it gives them a renewed vigor to fight, they think that Americans are loosing their resolve and will run away like cowards.

Even still, I believe the troops are focus enough, not to be derailed by some freak screaming at them, though I understand that it was in bad taste, I don't think that he speaks for many, and I don't think his actions were so detrimental.

Do you think not giving them the proper equipment or adequate manpower boosts their morale? Do you think having their Commander in Chief flip flopping on what the real mission is boosts their morale?
