I have read too many books to have a single "favorite", and what I'd prefer at any given moment changes. Jack London's books all were enjoyable, in their time, but so is Dante's "Inferno". The collected works of Poe I also find quite enjoyable. The "Harry Potter" stories have been entertaining as well. Altho I doubt it is a Genre that you, as a girl, would find interesting, the books by Tom Clancy, starting with "Hunt for Red October", were all good reading.
