I love it, will vote for Huckabee so he'll get trounced, America doesn't want a Christian extremist.

"Are open primaries a great idea?" - No. For exactly the reason you state. Each party should be able to nominate their own candidate without interference of outsiders.

No because it really doesn't make sense to what is trying to be determined.
