On my stats, on my profile, how can my 6% best answers and 93% others add up to 100%? where's my other 1%?
P&S is the best place to ask anything and I didn't want to hang out in the Math section, even though that was the suggested category!

Y/A is monitored and calculated by a computer
It rounds off to the nearest number. So if you have
13/300 BA= that would be CLOSEST to 6%
and 287/300 is CLOSEST to 93%- so the extra 1% is lost when the computer rounds down

The percentages are rounded.
If you do the math, 353 other answers / 378 total = 93.38%
And 25 best answers / 378 total = 6.61 %
Ok so that adds up to 99.99%
If you were to go out to more decimal spots, it would add up to 99.99999999999999999.
Short answers: the figures on your profile are rounded. Though i dont know why 6.61% would be rounded down to 6%.

I've been punching the calculator for several minutes here and am not getting good computations. So I'll give up and throw it in the "complex math" category.

It has to do with significant figures, and rounding things off. Don't loose any sleep over it, and if you get to higher math, some of it will become more clear. It isn't very important.

That is the same with me too, maybe it is like 6.5% and 93.5% so it adds up to 100% it just doesn't say the .5.

Math makes my eyes hurt. :( If I were good at math I would help you out. But when I saw the numbers I had to avert my eyes.

It is probably just programmed to output in whole numbers. So if you have a fraction as a remainder it drops it.
