Is a major supplier of timber?

Maine, NH, Vermont = source of hardwood like maple and oak, also white pine used for paper production. Also source for trees milled for lumber.

South East = source of pine used for paper production.

Pacific NW = source for large trees used for lumber and paper. Source of cedar used for lumber.

Just a guess, but I would say that the Pacific NW relies on the timber industry the most, followed by northern New England.
