Yes, as a young child I said Fire Hydrant over and over till it sounded weird to me. I laughed a lot and remembered the lesson, for whatever it is worth.

O my god. I thought that only happened to me. It is totally awesome when that happens. Because all words do sound like gibberish.

I remember in like 3rd grade at the end of the year we had to write a 30 word paragraph about our teacher. I wrote "She is very very very very....etc......nice" Towards the end of writing very, it didn't look right. I felt like I was spelling it wrong.

yeah one time i had a serious brain fart, and couldn't remember how to spell was. I kept saying it over and over til eventually i wasn't even sure it was a real word! sometimes i worry about myself lol.

OMG, LIKE I know exactly what you're talking about. I have this LIKE bad habit, which LIKE some people think it's LIKE sooo annoying. And they keep telling me LIKE to stop it, because it LIKE makes me sound LIKE sooo unprofessional. LIKE what's that supposed to mean? I LIKE just don't get it. LIKE do you know LIKE what are they trying LIKE to say to me. Does my speech LIKE sound LIKE sooo weird or LIKE gibberish? I'm LIKE kind of confused here......XD

Yes. Even the most common words when you have to use them over and over and over and over and over and over and over -- see, they stop sounding like anything.
