can't reformatted thumb drive?

how to clean up all viruses in my thumb so that i can re-formatted it...
i haved tried with AVG anti-virus but it didn't gave the best result...
anybody????
my head is getting crunched just bcoz this thing...

Install it on a CLEAN PC, hold SHIFT when inserting to stop anything autorunning
Open "My COmputer"
Right click it,
Select FORMAT

Job done

if you are reformatting, why worry about the viruses?
