No, I usually refer to that person's answer and either state I agree with it, or add to it, when giving my answer. I'd probably give a thumbs up and not thumbs down to similar answers. I rarely give thumbs down, only if they are really mean, stupid, cruel, disgusting, irrespective of another human, etc. I wouldn't give a thumbs down just cause I don't agree with their answer. Actually, I don't even know how this whole thumb thing works. And anyone who would "cheat" in Yahoo Answers REALLY needs a life...
All I can think of now is the thumb people in Spy Kids.....
P.S. As with many posts though..a lot of times you start answering when only a couple people have answered..then by the time you type your answer and submit it another hundred people have answered the question the same way...that happens a lot...like now...

No, I give thumbs up to the person who thinks as intelligently as I do! I give thumbs down to the people who wouldn't know a good answer if it bit 'em on the nose.

No. I give it a thumbs up, to indicate that I understand it to be a good answer. That way maybe someone else will be moved to seriously consider the truth, even if they never get to my answer.

I never do that. I will give him/her a thumbs up and go to answer the question and say choose his/hers as the best answer. In fact, I did it on two occasions. You can go through my answers.
