One of my friends inherited property has been recently sold fraudulently by a criminal using forgery photographs and records. The properties are in the name of his father who died long back. Now the entire duping has come to light. My friend has also launched a Police complaint. Now what is the way for him get the official records set right once again?

First, he is going to need a lawyer that works with real estate matters. Secondly, it is not likely he will be able to correct the record until the fraud is proven. Right now it's just a claim.

Will need an atty to draft a deed of correction showing the deed from the person who got teh property in the fraud back into the rightful owner; or a special comissioners deed putting the property back in the original owner's name depending on what the court rules.

If a property is fradulently sold and registered it by forged photographs and documents, you can get the same set it right by making a representation to the Registrar for cancelling the registration. However, yuou have to prove the fraud conclusively.
