Aggressive, as they believe their way is the only way & minister to people who don't want to be ministered to, push their beliefs on those around the world. Rule as if theirs is the only way. The problem is that there are other religious groups in the world who feel the same way, & this is how wars will be/have been started. We have seen it in the past few years.

At the local level, small town churches and what not, Christianity promotes peace and compassion. Although i don't don't believe the stories in the Bible to be true, word for word, most are good lessons, fables kind of, to guide you to a decent way of life.
It is basically the un-official religion of the US, due to being the most popular (so far). That creates problems in that areas of the world that don't recognize Christianity as the one true religion, target the entire nation to combat the religion. Ironically and unfortunately we are not a nation known for "turning the other cheek."
There will always be war based on religion. Who provokes each battle will change, as it has throughout history.

I don not think the religion itself makes this or any country more peaceful or aggressive. It simply boils down to the morals gained from that faith, and based on the way that Christians act through the world I would have to say that the moral compass of Christians causes people by and large to act in a rational and peaceful manor.

I don't think peacefulness can be tied to Christianity, since there have been some very violent times in the history of this nation, and we have always had a Christian majority.

I have to credit our secular and progressive form of government and our legal system of guarantees to the individual against harm from the mob and the state.

It should be more peaceful, but with extemists like Robertson and then you throw in the white supremacist element and you see how far Christianity has fallen in the US.
