1989. I had been in a 10 year violent relationship. It was very scary the night before and I knew I'd had enough. I ran away the next morning.
I needed all the support from family and friends to stay 'gone'. He cried and promised it would be different, he loved me so much (again).
I stayed strong, got a job; moved into a flat with my son and stayed by myself.
Best thing I ever did; know myself now and free to live my life with a lovely man who treats me like a fellow human being. Not a piece of poo.
Thank you for asking; even after all this time I can't believe how stupid I was for staying there for so long!

An ex boyfriend was stalking me and I had gone to look around the shops when I saw him walking towards me,and I knew he was only there cos he knew thats where I shopped(He had also been trying to find out where i was working),so I just turned and ran,right across a really busy main road and I saw a bus,I just got on it and when I knew I was safe got off again at a tube station and got the tube home again(he didnt know where i was living Id moved to get away from him).That was about 8 years ago and would you believe he still asks about me when he sees people we both know,luckily they all know not tot tell him where I live.

I had to run away from home. My family were trying to crash my spirit and have me under their thumb all the time. I packed my bags and left. Never looked back.

My 17 year old, last night.
I thought he was going to throw me out onto the snowy front yard. I was taking the dog out.
He caught me and pocked my sides till it hurt. today I wished I picked the snow.

i don't run away from problems ......and i cant remember the last time i ran away from anyone, i walked away from my partner though,and it still hurts like hell ...
